If you’ve been yearning for drama and excitement, fear not – I’ve got just the tale for you.

Now, let me spill the beans, folks. I had these grand plans for Christmas and New Year, but my body decided to throw a curveball that caught us all off guard. On 22/12, I found myself as the lead actor in my very own illness drama. Fever, chills, and a boat trip to my brother’s place – because who doesn’t love to travel when they feel like they’ve been trampled by reindeer?

Upon reaching my brother’s haven, my audition for admission was nothing short of spectacular. I spent my days in their basement guest room, delivering a show-stopping performance featuring vomiting, fever, and watery diarrhea. An entertainment extravaganza! I practically felt like I had won an Oscar for diseases.

Fast forward to the 27th, and there I was in the hospital, displaying my remarkable rendition of a raisin. My liver decided to take an early retirement, and I basked in four days of luxurious IV. To add icing to the cake, I got to return home to “celebrate” New Year’s. Champagne was swapped out for water, and the gourmet feast featured the latest trend – boiled fish.

Now, the doctors are as clueless as I am about the internal circus. No cool viruses or trendy bacteria – just a mystery that could potentially be a parasite. A parasite, really? I might be trendier than I give myself credit for.

Here I am, my friends, ready to embrace the new year with a healthy dose of Proviva, water, and a diet that would make a goldfish green with envy.
I may not have had a traditional Christmas or New Year, but hey, at least I survived the drama cavalcade.

And let’s not forget to raise a glass to my trooper of a husband who has been by my side throughout this entire ordeal. His unwavering support has been my saving grace, turning this chaotic experience into a somewhat bearable journey.

Now, for a plot twist that even I didn’t see coming – due to extreme dehydration, there were no veins left to use for blood tests. The medical team eventually unearthed one on my foot. Yes, my foot! I counted a total of 14 needle jabs in my arms, hands, and feet. So PLEASE, dear readers, remember to stay hydrated throughout the day. Let my adventure serve as a reminder that a glass of water might just spare you the unconventional experience of foot-vein exploration.
Cheers to hydration and a happy, healthy new year! 🥂

I have a water bottle to fill and well stuff to get done.
Until later my hydrated friends, until later.

/L

Hello dear readers, and welcome to my glamorous post recounting the epic rollercoaster that was my Christmas and New Year!
