I just\u00a0 wrote my first letter to the child, Wilson, that me and my family sponsors through PLAN Sweden in Peru.\u00a0He is 3 years old and has a sister who is the same age as Alexius.
\nOur lives are similar but then again OH so different.<\/p>\n

It was hard to write a letter to a little guy that lives so far away under such different circumstances.
\nHard but fun and fulfilling.
\nWe get to be Wilsons sponsor until he is 18 and I look forward to many years of exchanging letter with him and his family.<\/p>\n

It costs about the same as 3 glossy magazines per month\u2026so really not much at all. But what a difference we make.It makes one take a good look at how fortunate we are in the part of the world that we live in. How lucky we are to have a bed to sleep in and heating in our house, toys to play with and school to attend.<\/p>\n

Why not skip the flowers and the chocolate this year for Valentines and do the following instead:<\/p>\n

  1. Tell<\/strong> your partner that you love them over a candle lit dinner at home<\/li>\n
  2. Sign up to sponsor a child through PLAN<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Buy a gift <\/a>for your loved one, anything really, from the PLAN shop to make a difference and<\/strong> be a loving and giving person for real.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
