My son and i have joined the\u00a0Shintai Kempo dojo in Visby.<\/a>
\nThey have the most genius set up ever; children and parents can train simultaneously at the dojo.\u00a0That glove fit us just perfectly. SO, I sat there on a bench during the first practice as I had a sore back that day and watched my wee man listen and do his utter best fully concentrated.\u00a0Those of you out there who knows him understand how much awesomeness that was in itself.\u00a0I joined in at the practice after that and was well hooked.<\/p>\n

That 1h passes by faster than you can say Shintai Kempo. SO much fun.
\nI am not ashamed to say that I thoroughly adore my sons instructors, Roger Kejda<\/a> and Ulf Lundqvist<\/a>, who clearly understands how to listen to, train and have fun with the kids. My son loves it!<\/p>\n

My own instructor happens to be the founder of the style, Tommy Kedja,<\/a> and is pure magic.He has ease, calmness and focus like an aura around him, very inspiring indeed!<\/p>\n

I briefly played the devil\u2019s advocate with myself wondering if it is a good idea to take a very<\/strong> impressionable 7-year-old to train martial arts. I followed my gut instinct after the first visit.\u00a0This was the place for us. The right values, teachings and role-models were all present.\u00a0It all felt vaguely familiar \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

So my new beginning in sports landed on Shintai Kempo and I am so pleased with the path I landed on. I look forward to many more sore muscles and aching joint in the years to come.\u00a0Yellow belt here I come! (she yells bravely after 3 sessions).<\/p>\n

I have some stretching to do and water to drink.
