Facebook reminded me that i was travelling to Italy exactly one year ago today.
\nWhat a year it has been since i entered the fantabolous 40ies.
\nI_Love_it!
\nThis year has been filled with lots of laughter both at work as well as at home.
\nMy husband is still hot as laaava and my kids makes me smile more often than not.
\nI have reconnected with old friends as well as let a few energy thieves go.
\nThe realisation that I can do preeeeetty much what I want to as long as I follow my heart has been OH so liberating. And yes\u2026quite a few of you out there will be sighing right now, mumbling to yourselves that that\u00b4s a given. But is it ..really?
\nI find that I, more often than I like to admit, care about what other people might think. That narrows my mind and creates a mind-rotting sense of insecurity.
\nSo\u2026.i give myself full range of mind and view of life now that I have entered my wonderful 40ies.
\nMy 41st<\/sup> birthday takes place this Saturday and I look forward to it like a kid before Christmas.
\nAs per usual.
\nThe day will be spent in the company of my family at home and I plan to cook and bake to perfection.
\nSugar free perfection.
\n(I have noticed that I have a real hard time keeping it clean, sugar-wise, during PMS so I make sure I have sugar free alternatives to indulge in those few days of the month.
\nIt takes planning but is totally worth it.)

I royally enjoy not being a teenager or even in my 20ies anymore but what I DON\u2019T enjoy is having adult acne. It sucks beyond words. Not only does my face tend to blow up in to red and yellow bumps of misery once a month it then usually decides to give me hell in between.\u00a0The dream of a make-up free face that looks fresh and healthy has been elusive to say the least.
\nWell\u2026sit down and brace your selves, until now that is.
\nI have tried everything from cheap to expensive brands both in make-up and skin care\u2026and still nothing. I was offered some samples of Rituals day- and night cream and loved them\u2026until I had used them for about 2 months. Voil\u00e1! My face pulls the old \u201cso-you-think-that-would-work\u201d-stunt and blows up right along my cheek bones and under my jawline as well as around my mouth.
\nTr\u00e9s sexy. Not. I almost gave up but decided to go into research-mode instead.
\nI spent countless hours reading up on adult hormonal acne and found new inspiration and products to try out.<\/p>\n

It has now been 2 months and I am yet to break out into the same kind of hell as I used to. KNOCK ON WOOD!<\/p>\n
