And no.. not to a four year old.
\nI found that these particular words are less than easy to describe.\u00a0Especially to those closest to you.<\/p>\n
They are so used to the way you are, act, think and behave that you changing has, over the years, become the Everest of acievments.
\nSo..change has taken place. You think, feel and try to behave differently, what to do to make your surroundings understand?
\nScream? In an upset fashion tell people off because they are insensitive?<\/p>\n
Although that sounds heavenly, like a fast-track to insight to your mind for your loved ones, im quite sure that would cause more confusion than understanding.
\nI\u00b4ll risk offending a few of my fellow co-humans by daring to say it takes patience.
\nBe who you are and interact with them as the You 2.0.
\nThey will, eventually, see the new you.
\nIf they don\u00b4t they are hardly worthy \u00a0being called a friend.<\/p>\n
So what is a friend?
\nA friend is someone who sees you grow and supports you and your choices (as long as it doesnt hurt you or anyone else). A friend loves you for being you.
\nA friend can tell you to \u201c go outside, play hide and go f*ck yourself\u201d if need be.
\nA friend will always end that sentence with \u201ci love you anyway\u201d.
\nA friend never puts you down or tells you they want the old version of you back.
\nA friend stands by you and listens. A friend loves the fact that you take the dancefloor first at \u00a0parties. A friend loves the fact that you aren\u00b4t afraid to stand up for yourself and make your voice heard.
\nThat\u00b4s a friend that is…well, in my humle opinion anyway.<\/p>\n
So patience, my dear old nemesis, is the key.
\nPatience and the art of forgivness of people being FUBAR.<\/p>\n
