It is my third week back at work after my maternity leave.
\nMy first week ended with a bad cold and I decided it was time to renovate this frumpy looking female in my reflection.<\/p>\n
So said and done.
\nI have started a regime of skincare and everyday papering including facials almost daily, waxing of legs, manis and pedis and a brand spakin\u2019 new haircut.
\nAfter my second week I have to agree that I both feel and look a whole lot out-in-public-friendly.
\nThe only thing I have had to pay for was the haircut (thank god). The rest has been good old household remedies. Salt\/olive oil facial and body scrub. Honey, sugar and colza- mask.
\nOlive oil, egg yolk and honey hair-pack.
\nIt has indeed worked wonders for this almost-middle-aged mother of two.
\nSo there, I am vain. I admit it.
\nBeing a tad vain is good for the soul (not to mention your marriage) when you have two small children at home.<\/p>\n
This past weekend was spent with my mother who came to visit.
\nShe, unfortunately, came down with the flu but still did her best to play with the wee-ones.
\nShe left for home and bed yesterday afternoon, I miss her already.<\/p>\n
Husband is home on his 7 month paternity leave.
\nIt seems like he is enjoying himself.
\nI know I am.
\nOur lord has blessed me with a man who is excellent at cleaning the house and who actually can cook. And very well too. The kids love their dad and thinks I am boooooring in comparison.
\nI can SO live with that.
\nI get to spend my days doing stuff I like doing as well as playing with my children before they go to bed. Me like.<\/p>\n
I have a cuppa tea to drink and life to enjoy.
