My friend of almost 20 years who is referred to as my “wife” arrived on the island yesterday and I stayed at her hotel with her last night.

Beef and Haloumi sallad.

We had a absolutely brilliant dinner at Joda Bar in Visby and then spent at least 1h in the hotels hot tub. The rest of the evening was spent suffering the giggles as well as engulfed in deep rewarding conversations. To have the opportunity to spend such quality time with her is a true blessing.  She lives in Stockholm and I, as you know, on the island of Gotland and we got talking about the seminar that real estate agents Fredrik Eklund and Luis D. Ortiz gave Monday night at the Waterfront Congress hall in Stockholm. We are both avid fans of them both on the hit show “Million Dollar listing”. Fredrik because he such a goofball that manages to turn all that is him into dollar bills as well as maintaining a loving relationship with his (silly hot) husband Derek Kaplan. Btw, check out Dereks art here! He_is_magic. My kind of stuff.

We are both married to wonderful husbands ourselves and wouldn’t trade them for anyone…..except maybe Luis D. Ortiz. Oh sweet mother of Jesus wept! He is smart, handsome beyond words, funny, emotional, loving and giving. Not even the best of producers can make him look this good consistently throughout the seasons. The only downside to Luis we could imagine was perhaps that he is a tad short as both of us are around 172cm tall. But what the hell…that doesn’t matter horizontally.

We usually entertain each other with the latest bloopers of our lives and last night was no exception. You should have seen the tears of laughter streaking her face in the middle of the restaurant as I told her how I, accidentally, sent our 20 year old neighbour a declaration of love….that should have gone to my husband. No need to say I was embarrassed beyond words when I had to write him back and explain that I did NOT in fact love him and that the text should have gone to my husband.
“Please dear lord just strike me down” now was my initial thought.
Susanne laughed long and hard at me. Not with me.

I have stuff to get done and coffee to sip. Strong coffee.
Until later dear friends, Until later.
