Darned. I haven’t written a post in an awful long time.
Well…TADAAAA…here I am again.
Summer has finally arrived here on the Island and it_is_fantabolous!
Around 25C and sun most days. Last night was no exception.
Me and husband too the kids to “our” beach for some bbq and a quick swim in the Baltic Sea. Magic I tell you..MAGIC! I finally got back into my running habit and it feels amazing. My sister in laws wedding is coming up at the end of july and neeeed to look silly good in the dress I might have bought in a slightly optimistic size. Weeeelllll all I have is time and money. Not.

Scotland with children – NOT so fabulous
Me and husband decided that we needed a break at the end of May and took the kids to our wonderful friends (and Alexius godparents) in Stirling, Scotland.
Moa had a blast as she spoke Swedish to anyone who would listen whilst our son decided that this country was all together pants. NO one spoke Swedish and there were no toys. Nuff said.
It didn’t really make any sort of difference if we went to the zoo, the park, played football or actually bought new toys. Pants I tell you…PANTS!
We will, needless to say, be going sans kids next time.
It was truly great to see Lauren and Craig again for the first time since Italy last year.
They are extraordinary friends that has become family.

Nils –the man, the myth, the concept
WeeMan Nils Ahlstedt was born on the 11th of February this year.
My brother and his AWESOME fiancée Sarah couldn’t be prouder.
He is, of course, the cutest wee boy our Lord has ever placed on face of this planet.
He got his name from our maternal grandfather whom my brother was very close with all the way until the he left us to join grandma amongst the clouds.
I am so proud to be the aunt of this little miracle.

Music makes all the difference
I listen to a lot of music every day. I listen to music when I run and I listen to music when I cook or can’t sleep. I find inspiration in music and it sets the mood of the day.
Me and husband are attending a Lars Winnerbäck concert here on the island tonight and I cant wait.
This artist was one of the first musicians that my husband introduced me to when we met and I was trés trés sceptical. Not anymore. Nopes. This man knows how to write lyrics and compose a tune.
It really doesn’t hurt that he has a band that can P_L_A_Y.
Well worth learning Swedish just to understand this guy 🙂

OH yes…our coffee maker gave in yesterday. ANYone who knows me knows that my mornings does_not_work without coffee. I have chosen the path of silence in the mornings until we have a new one in place. Or i would be single faster than i can say “espresso”.

I have coffee to sip, a tan to work on and some running to do…and yes work…i have another week and a half until my summer holiday begins.
