So italy happend. <– click here to see a flipagram of the whole trip)
The time spent at Moris Farms close to Follonica was pure magic.
The accomondations were beyond good and the service from La Villa and Annika Loi was pure perfection. We had magical time.
Anyone wanting to experience relaxation and beautiful surroundings should take refuge to Villa Santa Laura at Moris Farms. Just do it. You will thank me.
So turning 40 happened. In Italy. Like a dream.
I was woken by family with breakfast, flowers and presents in the early morning hours.
We had the most stunning dinner at the vineyard itself with a guided tour by Mr Giulio Parentini.
What a treat to hear how this vineyards lovely wine makes its way from the grapevine to the actual bottle. The food, drink and service was beyond praise. Private dining is da sh*t.
I like love being 40 as much as I thought I would. A LOT more fun than turning 30 I tell you.
Experiencing my favorite time of year with my favorite people in my favorite place was a true blessing. A few of you out there were missing but were present in my heart and thought.
LOTS of thanks for the presents and flowers!!
So dad and husband took a swim in the pool happened.
Yes. They. Did. Rather chocking for all of us that know them. Even my mother went all giddy and jumped straight in just to have actually been in a pool at the same time as dad.
AMAZING…and probably a once in a lifetime event.
“One party isn’t really enough!” she exclaims like the quintessential birthday girl she is so I just happened to throw in a b-day BBQ TresChic-style at the end of august.
What a blast I had! It was an evening full of wonderful people, presents, dancing, food and drink.
The perfect evening for me.
An extra THANK-YOU-BEYOND-WORDS-FOR-BEING-FANTABOLOUS to my husband, mother and mother-in-law for taking care of kitchen and children.
Once I decided to take things a tad slower things started speeding up.
I have recently starting lecturing around the island about my sugar addiction.
My lecture goes under the oh so true name: “An addict in our midst”.
It is amazing to see the faces of the audience when I tell them that they are pushers to their children.
Love that OH-DANG-YOU-DIDN’T-expression on their faces.
Its hard to explain why I do this and still so simple. I want people to learn about this vast addiction that spreads like a virus across the world. Why? How? What can we do? Are questions often asked when people approach me after a lecture. It’s a pure pleasure to answer.
Do I make any money? No. No I don’t. I donate all surplus income to the Red Cross.
I guess this is my way of improving my badly damaged karma.
I have water to drink and stuff to get sorted.
Until later dear friends. Until later.
PS. You HAVE to watch Sherlock if you haven’t. Just do it.
