What a summer it is and has been. The weather has hit an all-time low, without question, but we have had a fab holiday. Two weeks on the mainland with lots of time with mum & dad as well as my sister and her family. We got to see my brother and his girlfriend Saras new house. Now that, my friends, will be pure awesomeness. Congrats to the fab house dearest brother!
Husband and I were true sceptics when it came to “Game of Thrones” until we decided to give it a try. Why not…the weather sucks anyway. You all know how that ended. We have seen all five seasons during the summer and finished the last epic episode of season five last night. Besides the senseless amount of boobs, killing, shagging, treason and some more killing…the thing I like most about the whole series is that one can never expect ANYTHING. ANYTHING can happen. Love it! Not the usual; in 7 min something dramatic will happened and in 15 min things will start to turn around for the hero etc. etc. Noooooo Sir (or Ser)! Expect nothing. Nothing I tell you! Except a senseless amount of boobs, killing, shagging, treason and some more killing. I have learned to love the absolutely amazing costumes, actors, plots and animations. Valar Morghulis! The Iron Throne was even here I Visby during the Medieval week. We missed it unfortunately … but still greatness has graced this island with its presence. We are now on to more lightly digested visual entertainment such as “Royal Pains” until GoT returns early 2016.
I am looking forward to a 40th-bday-bbq-bash and the end of august as well as a week in Italy over the actual birthday. The whole family now has passports after a very interesting visit to the police station to have our pictures taken and our applications submitted. Trés character building. And yes my friends, sit down, take a deep breath and hold on to something sturdy…. I AM NOW THE PROUD OWNER OF A DRIVERS LICENCE. Yes…you read it…I am. 12th of june is the day to be celebrated (or mourned) every year. Loving Life as a not so dependent wife. And yes..i know…all y´all told me so a long time ago.
And so…i end this post with the traditional collage of what our family has been up to.
Until later dear friends…until later.
